The First Nations Technical Services Group Inc. (TSAG) provides technical services and training for Alberta First Nations in the Treaty 6, Treaty 7, and Treaty 8 areas.
IDENTIFY:
o Different waste stream categories and which streams are recyclable and/or recoverable
o The function of key infrastructure elements of a transfer station
o Non-compliant waste stream materials
RECOGNIZE:
o Programs and markets available to your community
o The importance of data collection
UNDERSTAND:
o Fundamentals of an integrated waste management system
o Environmental controls and regulations
o The importance of maintaining a healthy and safe environment
o Issues and challenges associated with planning, designing, and operating a transfer station

Public Works Directors and Managers, Transfer Station Operators and Garbage Truck Drivers
