Refrigerant Recovery and Ozone Depleting Substances Awareness – EDMONTON
November 20 - November 21
This Course will take place immediately following the Transfer Station Operations Course in the afternoon on November 20th. We encourage participants to register for both courses if able.
Certification:
• Students who successfully pass the in-class final exam with a mark of 75% or higher, will earn the Ozone Depletion Substances (ODS) Certificate. The certification is issued by HRAI and is valid in all provinces. TSAG is a delivery partner with the HRAI and certified to provide this training.
Study Topics include:
• Ozone depletion
• The effects of CFCs on the atmosphere
• Environmental and health problems resulting from ozone depletion
• National, provincial, and municipal bylaws governing the control and handling of any refrigerants which contain ozone depleting substances or may contribute to the greenhouse effect
• Recovery, Reuse, Recycling and Reclaiming of Refrigerants
• Release reporting
• Record Keeping
• Disposal of Refrigerants
Freon Removal Unit
Upon successful completion of the course – 1 refrigerant recovery kit and tools will be provided to each participating First Nation.
