June 15-June 19, 2026
This component will be 35 hours (5 days) long.
The maximum class size for WWWT110 is 15 students.
The learners will be taught the essential application skills for efficient and safe water and wastewater treatment and distribution. The skills obtained in this course will allow learners to demonstrate mathematics, chemistry, and electrical knowledge to safely and successfully operate water and wastewater processes and facilities.
The primary learning outcomes and skills that the successful learners Science and Math for Wastewater Technicians will develop are the abilities to:
- Calculate mathematical concepts and measurements as applied to the water and wastewater industry.
- Calculate measurements of geometric figures used in water and wastewater facilities.
- Calculate flow in a water system.
- Define and interpret the structure and classification of matter using chemical formulae and equations.
- Calculate and describe the concentration of acids, bases, and salts in a solution.
- Describe the relationship of chemistry to water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Define electrical quantities and equipment terms in water and wastewater treatment.
- Identify functions of electrical equipment in water and wastewater treatment.
