SUMMARY:CITC596: Water and Wastewater Level II Primer
DESCRIPTION:This component will be 35 hours (5 days) long. \nThe maximum class size for CITC596 is 15 students.  Priority will be given to those operator’s wo will be writing their Level 2 exams \nThe Water and Wastewater Level II Primer has been designed with the express purpose of preparing learners to successfully complete their Level II certification by addressing the technical skill gaps in understanding conventional systems\, membrane systems\, and backwash and filtration systems. Further\, the Level II Primer course will expand hands-on lab exposure to the learners\, providing them with the opportunity to see and use technology not available in their communities and to build awareness of the processes that are ongoing beyond standard day-to-day operations. \nSuccessful learners will leave the Level II Primer with the confidence and ability to apply Level II knowledge to prepare for Level II certification exams. This will also include an expanded operational awareness of systems variations across differing water and wastewater treatment systems. These overarching outcomes are supported by the development of the following abilities to: \n\nIdentify and understand Level II process requirements.\nWork more independently with less reliance on circuit rider support.\nInterpret operational data and troubleshoot needs beyond the basic functions of a water and wastewater system.\nConfidently register for and write Level II certification exams during the September exam cycle.\nObtain increased structural awareness of variations in water and wastewater systems across First Nations and municipal systems\, and to obtain increased knowledge in systems that the learners do not physically operate in their daily technician activities.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Register for CITC596 Water and Wastewater Level II Primer\n \n \n \n \n \n First Name *Last Name *Job Title *Employer *First Nation *Cellphone Number *Work Number *Address *City *ProvinceAlbertaBritish ColumbiaManitobaNew BrunswickNewfoundland and LabradorNorthwest TerritoriesNova ScotiaNunavutOntarioPrince Edward IslandQuebecSaskatchewanYukonPostal Code *Email Address * Submit
