DESCRIPTION:Registration  is Closed as the Course Has Reached Capacity\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				This component will be 35 hours (5 days) long. \nThe maximum class size for WWWT100 is 15 students. Priority will be given to those operator’s wo will be writing their Level 1 exams \nThe Water and Wastewater Level I Primer has been designed to provide learners with the introductory skills needed for a career in the water and wastewater treatment industry. Learners that successfully complete this course will be able to describe and implement fundamental water and wastewater operator skills to protect public safety and ensure efficient operations of water and wastewater treatment systems. This course is approved by the Government of Alberta as Mandatory Entry Level Training requirement for level 1 water and wastewater certification. \nGraduates of the Water and Wastewater Level I Primer will be able to comply with water and wastewater regulations and relevant legislation\, describe public safety and environmental protection strategies\, and identify documentation and record requirements and is supported by the following learning outcomes and abilities to: \n\nDescribe regulations and legislation applicable to the water and wastewater industry in Alberta.\nDescribe potable water treatment practices.\nDescribe water distribution system operations and their components.\nDescribe wastewater collection and treatment.\nDescribe the operation of support systems in water and wastewater operations.\nIdentify safety and security issues and solutions for the water and wastewater physical facility.\nDescribe documentation records\, logs and requirements for water and wastewater treatment.
