The “Water Stories” books are in! Within the month of March, TSAG’s Youth Coordinator, travelled to Ashmont School, Paul First Nation School, and Tsuut’ina Middle School to deliver a “Water Stories” program to 80 students. Refreshing their terminology on freshwater, source water, groundwater, watersheds, students were guided through some digital literacy principals while exploring the water crisis on First Nations throughout Canada by looking closer at boil water advisories, source contaminants and ways to conserve water. After filling up on water knowledge, students were asked to create a poster that reflects their experiences with water. These posters were then complied into a binded photobook that will be brought back to each one of the students in the participating classes.
Thank you to all of those who participated! The artwork is absolutely refreshing! If your school is interested in having TSAG’s “Water Stories” program come to your school please contact: Eagle Willier at 780-483-8601 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
