Sharing the Story Aboriginal and Northern Energy Experiences; Finding New Ways for Climate Change Control
In order to address climate change and ever increasing energy and heating
costs in Aboriginal and Northern communities, Public Works and Government
Services Canada, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and Natural Resources
Canada undertook an energy profile of successful communities and their
community-driven energy projects. The guide is aimed at assisting
communities in developing renewable energy and energy efficiency
projects and includes contact information on project managers. It also
highlights climate change and greenhouse gas effects.

It is the intention of this guide to assist First Nations
with renewable energy projects and energy efficiency. The guide
is aimed at assisting Project Managers, Band Managers, Band Engineers
and Environmental staff, and Chief and Council in their journey
along the renewable energy and energy efficiency paths. As you read
this guide you may have an idea or may notice missing information,
please contact us and let us know, as it will help improve our strengths
and better assist other First Nations. Note: This guide is a pdf format
